Have you read your girls "The Wolves of Willoughby Chase"? Your twelve year old might be a little old for it, but your ten year old would enjoy it for sure! I blogged here about it: http://goodbooksforyoungsouls.blogspot.com/2012/01/need-good-read-for-wintery-night.html

Michelle - wish we lived close - we'd be great friends. :)WendyLady@GoodBookshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07884742120430546504noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4381738546785592812.post-54839735709814582202014-02-06T19:43:07.786-08:002014-02-06T19:43:07.786-08:00Watching the BBC's Sherlock did indeed inspire...Watching the BBC's Sherlock did indeed inspire me to listen to Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's originals. I really enjoyed them and even more so when I saw the PPS show on how Doyle's Sherlock really did have a major role in the beginnings of forensic science and still does today. And of course, Benedict Cumberbatch is brilliant, I loved how season 3 showcased his versatility to a greater degree. Loved the humor. My favorite character that Cumberpatch has played is in the movie, Parade's End, plus it's a period drama. Glad all this Sherlock business is over in time for Great Lent! They really really like listening to Jim Weiss (who narrates "Story of the World")...I'll have to get a copy of that CD!
