HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DR. SEUSS!!! IT'S ALSO "READ ACROSS AMERICA DAY"...

THEODOR SEUSS GEISEL, KNOW TO MOST AS "DR. SEUSS", WAS BORN IN 1904, IN SPRINGFIELD, MASSACHUSETTS.  AT THE TIME OF HIS DEATH IN 1991, HE HAD WRITTEN AND ILLUSTRATED 44 CHILDREN'S BOOKS.  HE WOULD HAVE BEEN 107 THIS YEAR.

  1. Yes, indeed...a great illustrator and writer (the rhyming words seem to help children learning to read)...I love the whimsical and imaginative drawings in "Oh the Places You'll Go!" and "The Lorax" is one of my favorites, along with "Horton Hears a Who!"
