Purpose of this Blog...

You may have noticed that not all books are equal in capturing children's imaginations and in cultivating those innocent, tender souls. My goal is to help you find the ones that do!

A CHRISTMAS CLASSIC POP-UP BOOK

THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS: A MAGICAL CUT-PAPER EDITION by Clement C. Moore, illustrated by Niroot Puttapipat.
This gorgeous cut-paper edition of the celebrated Christmas poem evokes the snowy magic of the season through moonlit silhouettes, touched with red and green splashes of color. Each page reveals scenes that transform to reveal the elegant details and surprises of a festive family home.

Open up the house to see the characters within, peer through the doors and windows to catch a glimpse of St Nick's arrival.

"Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!"

The final page reveals a spectacular pop-up, laser-cut finale. All the excitement and anticipation of Christmas Eve is captured by the art of Niroot Puttapipat, making this book a not-to-be-missed delight that I added to my own Christmas collection this year!

December 6th - St. Nicholas Day - is quickly approaching!   Watch for my posts the next couple of days, for books and fun surrounding the real St. Nick!  Was he just a "Jolly Old Elf" that someone invented to distract us from Christ's Nativity?  Hardly...

  1. It's such a precious book. So Victoria! I would've loved a book like this as a child, and enjoyed discovering it as an adult.
