Purpose of this Blog...

My original intent in creating this blog was to provide a resource (and some encouragement) for new moms and dads who want to spend time reading aloud to their children, but may not know where to begin. But it's really also for any adults (parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, Godparents, teachers etc.) who have children/teens in their lives and want to help them foster a lifelong relationship with books. You may have noticed that not all books are equal in capturing children's imaginations and in cultivating those innocent, tender souls...my goal is to help you find the ones that do! CHRISTMAS IN THE MANGER

A cute board book for babies and toddlers - with artwork by the illustrator of the IF YOU GIVE A MOUSE A COOKIE books, Felicia Bond:

CHRISTMAS IN THE MANGER by Nola Buck.  Sweet and gentle telling of the Nativity story for the very youngest, a "pat and peek" book with a rhyming text from the point of view of the animals, shepherds, Mary and Joseph.  The last line is so sweet,

"I am the baby asleep in the hay, and I am the reason for Christmas Day".
