Purpose of this Blog...

You may have noticed that not all books are equal in capturing children's imaginations and in cultivating those innocent, tender souls. My goal is to help you find the ones that do!

  24. I've had the pleasure of meeting Jim Weiss twice in the past year - once at a homeschool convention and then again with all my kids (whom he made feel so special!) at the history expo in San Francisco. We would love his recording of Beric the Briton, since that's where we are in history studies right now, and my oldest (11) is very interested in all things Celtic (we own Celtic Treasures).

    2. It was delightful! My kids especially enjoyed the fable of the tortoise and the hare.

Funny, after posting this, I went to the mailbox and discovered a parcel. It had Beric the Briton in it - I totally forgot I had ordered it! So I'm changing my selection to King Arthur and His Knights, since we're studying the medieval period in the coming school year.
